The German-American Student Exchange Research Experience Scholars (RES) between the Governor School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) in Hartsville (SC) and the Johanna Wittum School is already entering its 11th year.
From 8th June to 20th July, three GSSM students will come to Pforzheim and complete a six-week research internship at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. Mentors for the three students of the GSSM at DKFZ will be Dr. Angel Cid, Dr. Annette Arnold from the laboratory of Prof. Nina Papavasiliou and Dr. Stefan Pusch.
During their stay in Pforzheim, the US students will live in host families. The hosts are the Egger, Boes and Doan families. The return visit will take place from 17th August to 27th September.
Julia Boes, Thu My Doan and Luca Egger will also complete a six-week research internship in the United States at the University of South Carolina at Columbia and will be staying at the partner school. ffff
